So excited to annouce our baby in the making is a boy :) mummys instinct did it again although tried to make me worry that we were having another girl lol

Welcome to my blog
I have decided to blog about my journey to become a Doula.
After the birth of my son it spiked something in my brain that made me fall in love with the whole pregnancy, labour and birth process!
I had a fantastic midwife that still to this day I hope to be just like she is. She was so calm and supportive and helped me have a great birth even though I was induced 1 week early due to pre-eclampsia. She taught me to trust my body and that everything that was happening to my body was natural.
I really believe in a woman’s body to labour and birth as our bodies have done throughout our existence. So I have decided that my dream life is to help other woman and there partner go through a stress free labour and birth and help them have the birth they dream for. So my life plan so far is to be a doula for many years until my time comes to join uni and become a midwife.
I’m currently mum to Joel, Lacey and Pregnant with my 3rd baby due in Jan 2010.
My Births so far
* Joel born in Sep 06 at 39wks by a 22hr Induced (Pre-E) but pain relief free birth in public hospital with the best midwife!
* Lacey Born in April 08 with a completely natural birth at 41wks lasting 6hrs
* Baby number 3 will be born into the water at the royal Brisbane Birth Centre :) well that’s the plan anyway :)
